Find the Right Office
Oklahoma custody records are split by record type. A new arrest usually starts with a county jail or municipal holding system. A sentenced state prisoner belongs in ODOC records. Federal custody uses BOP. Immigration detention uses ICE. Court filings are searched through Oklahoma court portals or the local court clerk.
- County jail custody: start with the County Directory, then use the local roster or the inmate records page for the custody path.
- Booking photos: use jail rosters & mugshots and the sheriff or jail records channel for the county that made the booking.
- Charges after an arrest: search court records after an arrest, OSCN, ODCR, or the court clerk for the county where the case was filed.
- Facility-specific questions: use the Facility Directory to distinguish county jails, ODOC prisons, community corrections, federal facilities, ICE-related sites, and other detention rows.
- Sentenced state prisoners: use ODOC OK Offender Lookup or the ODOC inmate population page.
- Federal prisoners: use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator.
- Immigration detention: use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System or the relevant ICE ERO or facility contact if the locator does not resolve the search.
- Custody notifications: use Oklahoma VINELink or OK VINE registration at 1-877-654-8463.
